Best Sayings in Drake and Josh

Image
Throughout the span of its life on Nickelodeon, Drake and Josh developed many catch phrases and common expressions that appear numerous times in the series. Here is a list of a few of my favorite ones! 1. Megan... We all know Megan was notorious for her outlandish pranks on her brothers. Whenever they got pranked, they would both say the same word in anger: "Megan..." 2.  HUG ME BROTHA!!! Debatably the most iconic quote of the show, Drake and Josh always exclaimed to each other: "HUG ME BROTHA!" and then bear hugged each other in excitement. They went through a lot of quarrels in the show, but this quote always made everything alright. 3.  I got it... There was a certain element of randomness in some of the comedy in the show. This was very characteristic of Executive Producer Dan Schneider's production style, where he also implemented random comedy in his other show iCarly. Gavin is an employee at The Premiere and at the beginning of the ...

A Review of "Steered Straight"

Image
Season 4, Episode 14. This is another episode in the series that is widely known as one of the most popular. "Steered Straight" gets Drake and Josh into a whole mess of trouble, and danger. The episode starts with Drake getting him and Josh tickets to see Josh's favorite band play at a nightclub called the Reptile Room, where you have to be over 21 to get into. Drake planned ahead, and got them both fake ID's. Their names were Jefferson Steelflex and Alvin Yakatori. Solid names, this should go off without a hitch right? Wrong. Very wrong. The boys are brought home by two officers who suggest to their parents to enlist them in a steered straight program. The program shows people what it's like to be arrested. Walter and Audrey agree, and the boys are arrested and taken from the house. However, on the way to the police station, the officer responds to a robbery nearby. Things go awry very quickly when the robber steals the police car with Drake and Josh s...

A Review of "Josh Runs into Oprah"

Image
Season 4, Episode 1. Josh loves Oprah. He knows it, Drake knows it, we all know it. This episode has to be included in my blogs because it is certainly one of my favorites in the series. As the title suggests, this episode isn't really that joyful for Josh. But we're getting ahead of ourselves, let's start from the beginning! It's Josh's birthday, and Drake forgets all about it. He tells Josh to meet him at The Premiere later in the day, something Josh believes is a surprise party for him. When he arrives to the theater, he finds out Drake threw a surprise party for his new girlfriend instead. When he finally realizes Drake actually forgot his birthday, he gets upset and storms out. Shortly after, Helen breaks it to Drake that it's Josh's birthday too, and Drake then makes it his mission to make it up to Josh. He rushes home to tell Josh he got them both tickets to a live recording of the Oprah show with backstage passes from one of his band members...

A Review of "Alien Invasion"

Image
Season 3, Episode 16. Throughout the course of the Drake and Josh series, Megan pulled an incredible amount of pranks on her brothers. During the intro of this episode, the boys talk about just a few of the things she has done to them. Drake recalls when she had him enlisted into the Mexican army (classic), and Josh talks about how she once died his underwear pink. He then continues to show his pink underwear to the camera as proof. Towards the beginning of the episode, Megan gets a brand new telescope. She then takes it outside and uses Josh's laptop to control it and Drake's nice jacket so it doesn't get wet. When the brothers catch her doing this, she lays down on the ground and screams until Walter rushes out. She then tells Walter that Drake and Josh pushed her down onto the ground and the boys get in trouble and are sent inside.  That's when they decided that enough was enough, and they devise a plan to prank Megan. When Megan is helping Walt...

A Review of "The Bet"

Image
Season 2, Episode 1. "The Bet" is one of the most iconic Drake and Josh episodes of all time, and for good reason. It has a plot that keeps the viewers intrigued throughout the entirety of the episode, great jokes, and lots of candy. After the boys forget to pick up Megan from a friend's house during a rainstorm, it is brought to their attention that Drake is addicted to video games and Josh is addicted to junk food. They end up making a bet to see who could go longer without their addictions, and Megan drafts a contract for them to sign. The loser has to die their hair pink.  During the course of the bet, things get very difficult for both of the brothers. Josh's grandma (as he affectionately refers to as "Grammy") sends him the newest gaming platform as a gift: The Gamesphere.  Similarly, Drake's body goes into shock without eating so much junk food all of the sudden, and he develops a horrible rash on his face.  Walter and Audry also get ...
